First Ever Student Led Music Tour
Rock On The Road is a new and exciting opportunity for students at Ohana Institute, a non-profit independent school located in Rosemary Beach. The school’s unique values allow for all students to grow as individuals and become creative thinkers. One of the ways that Ohana allows the individual to grow is through its music program, Ohana Records, which provides an opportunity for each student to participate in an in-school band. Beginning this year, the high school students have also been given the unique opportunity to participate in Rock on The Road, a program that not only teaches students about every aspect of the music industry, but also gives students the opportunity to tour the Southeastern United States and perform at different venues and locations. The program is entirely student led and the first venture of its kind in the United States. The students that participate in the program are in charge of the marketing, fundraising, logistics, production, bands and everything in between.
Ohana strongly believes that its students should involve themselves in the community and give back through service opportunities. Therefore, throughout the tour, the bands will be playing at Boys and Girls Clubs and schools to benefit different communities. We will also introduce the importance of integrating music into school curriculums. Rock on The Road hopes to make a lasting impact on the communities and cities we visit. By sharing our music, we believe that we can inspire others to make a difference in their communities.
We hope that you will take an interest in our program and contribute to helping make this tour possible. Thank you so much for taking the time to read our story!
