Thuy and her husband, Bill, were struck by a car as they crossed the street near their home in Monterey, California, on February 4th, 2017. Bill was killed instantly. Thuy has sustained multiple severe injuries and has a very long road ahead of her, both physically and emotionally. She will be on bedrest for at least four weeks, which will be followed by many months of nursing care and rehabilitation, all while grieving the tragic loss of her husband. Insurance will only pay a small portion of the massive bills that will be accrued.
