"Thumbs Up, Cancer Down" is a 501c3 non-profit organization started by Kevin Charette & Cody Brutlag for their two friends, David Marcus and Naythan Bryant, who were both diagnosed with cancer in the summer of 2014.



David, pictured in the center of the photo above, has battled cancer twice. He's always been a happy-go-lucky type of guy who goes around with a "Thumbs Up" attitude. Kevin & Cody saw the positive impact of David's signature gesture and wanted to share his optimistic outlook with others battling cancer.  They decided to develop  "Thumbs Up, Cancer Down", a non-profit organization.  This movement started with people sending "thumbs up" photos in support of David and Naythan, and has grown into a unified symbol of encouragement for cancer patients around the world.

Kevin and Cody want to take it a step further; the goal now is to be able to offer "Thumbs Up, Power Up" packs to people battling cancer near and far. Money raised from this GoFundMe campaign will help expand the ability to develop and provide these Power Packs to more patients.

In the packs, patients will receive a "Thumbs Up, Cancer Down" beanie, hand sanitizer, blanket, journal, pen, and phone charger.

Friends and family members living with cancer are not alone.  We hope these "Power Packs" will be a constant reminder that we are all in this fight together.
