Give Me a Hand
Donation protected
Early in 2014 we began developing a 3D printed prosthetic hand for a friend's son, Santino.
Santino’s mother, Evelyn, is a working mother of two, and has been a friend for many years. Originally we began working on this project simply as a creative challenge for us as model makers, and as a nice way to help a friend in need.
Upon presenting Santino with his first prototype prosthetic hand, we never expected the reaction he gave us. The shear excitement and look of joy he expressed brought this project infinitely closer to our hearts. The more we work with Santino and Evelyn, the stronger our desire grows to share this joy with as many people as possible.
Now, 5 prototypes later we have been afforded the opportunity to receive a grant to further develop cost-efficient, fully functional 3D printed prosthetic hand. In order to obtain this grant, we need to raise an additional $6,500.
By donating to this cause you will not only be helping a young child to experience satisfying everyday activities that many of us take for granted, but also increasing the possibility of many more children like Santino to experience similar joy.
