My daughter, Annalise Ward, has been bravely fighting cancer after a difficult journey that began with a misdiagnosis. Despite having a large mass in her face and neck, her symptoms were initially dismissed as allergies, and testing was delayed. The cancer later spread to her brain and spine, making her battle even more challenging. Since then, Annalise has endured extensive treatment, including radiation, chemotherapy, numerous scans, procedures, transfusions, and long hospital stays. Through it all, she continues to fight with courage, positivity, and a smile, inspiring everyone around her.
Recently, Annalise’s treatment plan changed, requiring weekly lab visits and bi-weekly chemotherapy. This has increased the financial strain on our family, as we now face more frequent trips to the hospital, additional costs for gas and food, and expenses for medications that our insurance may not cover. The support from this fundraiser will help ease our financial stress, allowing us to focus more on Annalise’s care and well-being during this difficult time.
I am incredibly proud of Annalise’s strength and determination, and our family and friends remain hopeful as we support her through her battle with cancer. We are asking for help from our community to share, donate, or send encouragement. Your support means the world to us and will make a real difference in Annalise’s fight.
Update about Mae!
Mae's cancer has progressed to a terminal stage, with a tumor that has spread throughout her brain and down her spine. The prognosis is uncertain, and options are limited. After careful consideration, a new chemotherapy regimen has been chosen, along with efforts to find clinical trials that might help control the cancer for as long as possible. This comes at a difficult time, as the family recently lost their grandpa and now faces the prospect of losing Mae. They ask for patience and prayers during this challenging period.
