About Thriving Planet Association

We are a Swiss-registered NGO founded by Valentin Sokolnikov, who grew up in Yakutsk, Yakutia — one of the coldest and most remote cities on earth — where a frozen tank of industrial waste sat in his yard every winter and melted into the streets every spring. He built his career across government and public sector institutions for over a decade, developed sharp commercial instincts as an entrepreneur and investor, and established himself in Switzerland founding Tech and CaaS companies in the financial industry — attracting over $500,000 in grants from Google and Microsoft. That combination of institutional experience, capital discipline, and technology execution is exactly what this mission is built on.
