ThriveNow: Unlocking a thriving future for young learners
Donation protected
The world is changing. Education must too.
Right now, most of us grow up being told there’s one “right path”: do well in school, go to university, get a stable job, and settle into a secure future.
But what happens when that job no longer exists because of AI?
When another recession, global pandemic, or climate crisis hits?
When traditional education hasn’t prepared us for the challenges or the complexity of the world we’re inheriting?
The truth is: today’s education system, despite the best efforts of many incredible teachers, is still preparing young people for a world that no longer exists. It’s linear, rigid, exam-driven, and too often leaves behind the most human parts of what makes us capable, creative, and resilient.
At ThriveNow, we’re on a mission to change that.
What is ThriveNow?
Creating a wellbeing-focused, relevant, community-rooted model of education feels obvious. Necessary. Human.
ThriveNow is a not-for-profit social impact organisation reimagining education from the ground up, with people and purpose at its heart.
Founded by educator, researcher, and mother of three, Kimberley Olliff Cooper, ThriveNow is grounded in four essential pillars:
- Supportive community – Nurturing belonging, inclusion, and shared ownership
- Relational pedagogy – Teaching rooted in care, connection, and curiosity
- Meaningful curriculum – Real-world learning, creativity, and human values
- Authentic assessment – Growth that reflects life, not just exams
Inspired by educational pioneers like Sir Ken Robinson, Guy Claxton, and Valerie Hannon, we asked:
“What do young people actually need to thrive in today’s world?”
Then we built ThriveNow to answer that, with wellbeing, relevance, and human connection embedded at every level.
We’ve shown this model to parents, universities, teachers and young people, and the response has been overwhelming. People want something different. Especially for children who are neurodiverse, emotionally sensitive, or simply struggling to fit into a system not built for them.
Why We’re Doing This
We’re not just talking about change.
We’re building a real, living school to prove it works.
And then we’re open-sourcing the model so anyone; schools, learning communities, families can use or it as it is or adapt it to their own community's needs.
We’re not asking for venture capital or corporate ownership. This is community-led and community-owned.
It belongs to all of us.
Why We Need Your Help
To make ThriveNow a thriving reality, we need to raise £340,000 over the next four years. This is a long term investment not a 'quick fix' and yet you will be able to benefit from it from the start. We will be sharing everything we create with you from the outset.
Your contribution will allow us to:
✅ Launch and pilot key income streams (consultancy, CPD, creative youth programmes)
✅ Offer bursaries and outreach to families while staying affordable
✅ Measure long-term social impact—working with universities and businesses to gather evidence and scale what works
✅ Prove this model reduces cost pressures on councils and improves outcomes for young people
✅ Keep this model open-source, inclusive, and truly accessible
We're aiming for long-term sustainability by 2028 as a not-for-profit, and we’re already laying the groundwork.
What We’ve Already Done
We’ve developed the core model, deeply rooted in evidence and lived experience.
We’ve connected with parents, educators, and young people who have shared heartbreaking and inspiring stories.
We’ve built partnerships and created a roadmap.
We’re now ready to bring it fully to life... with your help.
How You Can Help
This only works if we build it together.
If this resonates with you - if you believe young people deserve more than grades and pressure, then please consider supporting us.
Here’s how:
➡️ Donate!
If just 1,000 of us gave £20, we’d be off to a fighting start.
If 10 patrons gave between £2.5k–£10k, we’d be flying.
➡️ Share this campaign with someone who cares about education!
Every donation matters large or small. This isn’t just a financial contribution.
It’s a vote for a more human, inclusive, relevant education system.
Donate today and be part of a thriving and inclusive community that will impact the young people you love now and for generations to come!
