Hello, friends, family, and community members,

For well over a decade I've lived as a dedicated caretaker for my elderly parents, while simultaneously working 7 days a week, morning, noon, and night, building my small business, Cuckoo Caretaking.

I've been my Father's devoted caretaker throughout his 24 year odyssey with cancer, then navigating his/our harrowing journey with the complexities of Alzheimer's. The challenges intensified during the global pandemic, deepening the strain.

Alone in this pursuit, the weight of this responsibility created a traumatic atmosphere, and the toll on my physical and mental health has been profound.

I've been struggling to remember who I am, and what my larger purpose is, causing a deeply unsettling sense of identity loss.

Caring for my mother, who has dementia, has become increasingly and overwhelmingly difficult without additional support.

I recognize the crucial need for a period of respite, a break that is essential for my well-being. It's time for me to step out of survival mode, to take stock of my life and envision a future. I hope to rediscover my life-force and return to New York with a more robust business plan.

I wish to expand Cuckoo Caretaking's services to include Animal Communication/Energy Healing, and Vocal/Sonic Healing therapies.

Additionally, I hope to one day become a Death Doula, with the intention of serving my community with essential support during End of Life Care.

To truly care for myself, I need financial support. Emergency after emergency with my elderly parents has put a heavy strain on my financial resources, making it difficult for me to afford my own medical insurance and other life essentials.

Transitioning to a new career path, such as becoming an energy healer, vocal therapist, or a death doula, requires education and training. Financial assistance will help me invest in these opportunities to enhance my skills and build a stronger foundation for my future.
