Dance and drama change lives. For young people with dyslexia and dyscalculia, the creative and performing arts can make a real, invaluable difference to their lives and transform struggle into success, overnight!
The performing arts are full of neurodivergent talent - and full of young people who need support getting there. Yet the funding infrastructure to support them in accessing vocational training barely exists. Threed is here to change that.
We are a charity being established to fund pre-vocational and vocational training in dance and drama for 7 to 18 year-olds with dyslexia and dyscalculia - and to commission pioneering research into the relationship between neurodivergence and the performing arts.
Every pound raised goes directly toward funding training places for young people who deserve to be on that stage.
The Story
Threed was founded by Lara Myall - integrative psychotherapist, journalist and lifelong advocate for the performing arts. Her personal and professional experience of neurodivergence in the performing arts world led her to ask a simple question: where is the funding for these children? Threed is the answer.
What Your Donation Funds
- Training bursaries for neurodivergent young performers aged 7-18
- Pioneering research into neurodivergence and the performing arts
