On Friday, November 4th, our family faced a horrible, unimaginable tragedy. Our loved ones, Gail Baker, her 2 daughters (Asha and Shantay), and Gail’s 4 year old granddaughter were shot and killed in their home in Orlando, FL in a senseless act of violence. A domestic dispute ended the lives of those 4 beautiful souls. Gail’s other daughter, Sharice, though she also suffered gun shot wound to the head, ran to a neighbors home for help. Sharice was in surgery earlier this evening. The extent of her injuries not fully known.
Anyone you ask will tell you how kind and caring this family is. They filled us with love and joy. And now their families are faced with the task of burying 4 of their nearest and dearest. I cannot even begin to fathom the heartache of the parents, siblings, surviving children, nieces and nephews, and closest friends. At this most difficult time, I pray that our family and communities rally around them. Donate to relieve their minds of financial toll funeral services and burials will take. Give so that as Sharice recovers, it is easier for her loved ones to be by her side. Donate so her surviving children can have the things they need while everyone around them picks up the pieces.
