In March 2026, we'll (Shannen & Kate) be raising funds for Paws Off Duty by completing the Three Peaks Challenge - we've done them all before but now we'll be doing them in 24 hours;
Ben Nevis
Scafell Pike
Snowdon
Including travel time - and we'll be doing it to raise fund for a charity that's very important to us very single penny raised will go to the charity.
The primary challenge is physically and mentally demanding, covering a significant distance and total ascent.
Mountains:
Ben Nevis (Scotland): 1,345 meters (4,413 feet)
Scafell Pike (England): 978 meters (3,209 feet)
Snowdon / Yr Wyddfa (Wales): 1,085 meters (3,560 feet)
Total Walking Distance: Approximately 23 miles (37 km)
Total Ascent: Approximately 3,000 meters (10,000 feet)
Total Driving Distance: Approximately 462 miles (744 km), taking around 10-11 hours in good traffic
Paws off Duty support retired police dogs from North Wales Police with help towards vet and welfare costs.
Police dogs retire through age, injury, illness, disease or inability to perform tasks they were trained for. In most cases a retired police dog will remain with its police handler and become a family pet or suitably re-homed depending on the breed and temperament of the dog.
Once retired, North Wales Police no longer make any financial contribution to the dog and all costs fall to the owner. Veterinary and drugs bills can be costly and they're there to assist in granting financial support towards the healthcare of the retired dogs.
