Three Peaks Challenge in memory of Adam Martin
Donation protected
In June, A group of Adam's closest friends are undertaking the Three Peaks challenge in an effort to raise vital funds for Brain Tumor Research and The Friends of Wincanton Hospital, both of which are charities that helped support Adam and his family during his battle with his illness.
About Adam...... Adam found out that he had a brain tumor in October 2020 which was unfortunately incurable. In typcal Ad style, this did not stop him from being the best Dad to Charlie and Albie and Husband to Sarah. He was also an amazing friend to many of us, which is why we want to do as much as we can to help the people that helped him and his family during the hardest of times. Sadly after putting up an amazing battle Adam at the age of 35, passed away in January 2022.
The Three Peaks Challenge is to climb to the summit of the highest mountains in the UK (Ben Nevis, Scafell Pike and Snowdon) all within 24 hours. A total walking distance of 23 miles (all uphill!) and a total ascent of 3064 metres.
We have six of his friends plus his brother undertaking this challenge (none of us are in the best of shape!) and we will be starting training in January so we will need as much encouragement as you can give in the run-up to the challenge.
Any donation big or small will be greatly appreciated and help spur us on to complete the challenge in Ad's memory.
