Three Organ Transplant
Donation protected
My name is Kiondre Martin. Last summer, while out celebrating my 26th birthday, I was shot in the chest. I lived a simple life before that traumatic moment: I was a working 26-year-old father of one, Kiondre Martin Jr., affectionately known as Lil’ Mart. Lil’ Mart and I lived together in my apartment and I co-parented my son with my former partner, with whom I am still on good terms. My love for God, my family, and my community has not changed since I heard that gun fire on that fateful night, but so much else has. I now need your help.
The bullet damaged my heart, lungs, pancreas, bowels, and liver, and I’m now living without a small intestine. I am lucky to be alive. If it were not for the grace of God, the help of kind strangers, the Tulsa Police Department and Emergency Medical Services, and the nurses and doctors at Saint Francis Hospital, I would not have survived the wound and the seven subsequent surgeries I underwent in the ICU.
Unfortunately, I now need three organs transplanted – my small-intestine, pancreas, and liver – to get my life back to normal. I am fortunate enough to have insurance, but I lack funding for its incredibly highly priced deductible. If you can find it in your heart to donate any amount to help me pay for my deductible, I would greatly appreciate you.
Any effort or donation helps. God bless and thank you.
