Hello from Holly's Merry Moggies , a small rescue for disabled, difficult and different cats in Nottingham, England.

We've been pretty busy and full lately, but we were asked to take in three very special cases in need of urgent help, and how could we refuse those little faces?

We need your help getting them the treatment they desperately need.

Antonio

This beautiful 10-year-old black and white boy was roaming the streets fending for himself. His left eye (on the right as you look at him) is bulging out and has extremely high pressure in the eyeball, which is painful and means he can't see out of it. We took him to an opthalmologist vet who said he needs to have it removed, at a cost of around £1500, and he will also separately need a dental procedure to take out his painful, rotten teeth from years on the streets with no vet care (it's not safe to do both ops at the same time).

Despite being a stray and in so much pain from his eye and teeth, Antonio is a sweet and friendly boy and getting more loving all the time. We can't wait to see what he's like when he's not constantly suffering!

Jaffa Cake

Gorgeous ginger and white Jaffa is only six months old, and has wobbly cat syndrome (cerebellar hypoplasia). He is also underweight and absolutely ravenous, constantly eating and drinking an insane amount that's concerning for one so little. We need to get him a full blood panel and some tests to find out what's causing him to be starving all the time, so that hopefully we can make it better.

He is the sweetest, cuddliest boy who starts purring and kneading as soon as you approach him. It can't be much fun being insanely hungry and thirsty all the time, we'd love to get it sorted for him.

Jinx

This beautiful black girl is only a year old but we're at least her third home and she's in a terrible state. Covered in scabs, and with almost all the fur on her back half missing. She's also had a really bad tummy so she's on special food.

Jinx needs tests and treatment to find out what's causing the fur loss, scabs and sickness, and will also need lots of time with us to start trusting humans again (she's terrified, but now that she's got to know me, will let me fuss her and purrs her little head off). Her back half is so uncomfortable (she hisses if you touch past her neck) and we would really like to relieve it for her.

Why we need you

We have some wonderful people who donate monthly on our Patreon , which helps cover costs for the many disabled and unwell moggies in our care. However, we have lots of operations coming up (mostly dental surgeries which usually cost £800-£1000) and these three newbies are so uncomfortable that they can't wait while we save up to pay for treatment.

We know it's a tough time out there (our donations have been down for the last six months or so as a result), but if you have a few coins you could chip in, it would help enormously with getting Antonio, Jaffa Cake and Jinx fixed up and feeling much better.
