Hi,

During our Vacation to Chennai, India, my wife Divya and daughter Toshika met in a car accident on the 28th of July.

Divya was admitted due to a crack on both sides of the pelvic bone

Toshika has been admitted to the neuro ICU with a severe traumatic brain injury.

Toshika was on neuroprotective, supportive care, and anti-seizure medication with mechanical ventilation.

Update: 05/08/202

Divya was discharged from the hospital after surgery on the Hip on August 5th Friday.

Toshika stabilized and out of danger; a tracheostomy was performed as she had difficulty breathing without the mechanical ventilator, now out of mechanical ventilator support.

Update: 23/08/2022

Toshika is recovering well but still in ICU with tracheostomy support for breathing.

Yet to recover from non-coordinated motor skills.

The hospital bills have started piling up as she batters this challenging time. We all know that it is going to be a long haul before she stabilizes not only physically but also emotionally.

Any donations will be used towards hospital bills, rehab & physical therapy.
