This fund is to be split between families affected and the people who lost their homes.

The money will be sent via direct bank transfer with screenshots and oversight from a 3rd party.

I am not related to those involved but am involved in the village being a parish councilor.

Details added for withdraws needed by gofundme:

I am going to withdraw the funds to my personal bank account and then this will be bank-transferred in equal measure to the 3 parties. 1 - The family of the person who sadly passed away for funeral costs. 2 - the chap who lost his home completely. 3 - the chap who lost their wall and many of their belongings (names not put here for privacy reasons).

Once the funds are released to the 3 parties it will be for them to decide what is best to spend the money on - with examples being purchasing furniture for their new flat as it's unfurnished. I will not be purchasing anything to pass onto them, I will just do a direct bank transfer and screenshot these transactions as evidence. I will have no control over the funds when they have left my account.

I am in direct contact with the 3 parties involved and know them either through existing connections in the village or meeting and talking to them since the fire.

The timeline is that we will close fundraising on the 14th Sept 2025 with the money being transferred on the 15th Sept 2025 at the latest.
