Women are not second-class citizens.

Somehow, this morning, we all woke up on the wrong side of history.

I am angry and heartbroken about the lives that this decision will affect for generations to come. The enormous relief I feel for having safe & affordable abortion access is overshadowed by the immense sadness I feel for those who do not have the same. This affects all of us, women & men, females & males, trans & cis. We should all be angry, we should all demand change, we should all effect change.

Therefore, Julia & I are turning our anger and sadness into action by donating & raising money for Planned Parenthood. Our company will match 100% of donations, which will help further our cause. The plan will be to donate to Planned Parenthood Federation of America where 50% of contributions will be used to support local health, community services, and education in the community, and the other 50% will support national advocacy and education efforts. We believe that this option allows Planned Parenthood more flexibility to distribute the resource where it is most needed. Please consider donating what you can. All donations will be made to Planned Parenthood Federation of America and we will request a match from our company at the end of the fundraiser.

We understand the weight of this decision cannot be lifted simply by fundraising. But it is our hope that our small act can create bigger ripples. We hope that whatever small efforts we can all pull together to help the girls and women of America, we will try to do; because women’s rights are human rights, and we all deserve the freedom to our body.
