♥️ I'm raising money for my foster kiddo Thor with Chihuahua Rescue Indiana Inc. We believe Thor was born with his twisted legs that are upside and backwards! Easter weekend we were contacted about this little guy, he was being sold on Craigslist! Apparently Thor and the other dog in the home were not getting along and he needed to find a new home ASAP! Martha the director of Chihuahua Rescue quickly sprung into action and by the next morning he was rescued and on his way to the vet for an exam!
Thor needed to be neutered and all his vaccines updated! With all that taken care of he joined us a week later for some physical therapy and an evaluation of his quality of life with the legs he was born with! After watching him maneuver around it was decided that he would be much more comfortable if he didn’t have his useless & at times painful front limbs anymore!
A little about Thor’s foster family: We adopted TurboRoo & RubyRoo 5 years ago. They bother we’re born without their front legs and do a pawesome job at getting around by themselves and on wheels! Thor has learned ALOT from these kiddos so far and we feel he would have any easier time hopping around if he didn’t have very fragile twisted bones in the way!
We have taken Thor for a surgical consult and franklin animal clinic has sent us a quote of $2500 to successfully amputate Thor’s legs!
We are hoping to raise $3,000 to cover his surgical cost and also have a little extra left over to apply to a wheelchair to help him straighten out his very curved spine from not being able to properly hop around. Physical therapy and wheelchair training will begin once he is healed post surgery!
Help Thor achieve the quality of like he so desperately deserves! He has had a rough start and we want to give this little sweetheart the same quality of life our little chihuahuas have!
