Thors field sanctuary fencing fund

Hi,my name is Sarah. Over the last nine years we have taken in a variety of animals that needed rehoming and we now look after in their forever home.

As well as animals we have a wide range of volunteers that come and help us out on a regular basis . We have a wonderful connection with the local community and open our yard to anyone who can benefit from the animals .

Last year the land we rent got sold, we were able to stay under a new landlord .

Sadly the new landlord decided to take two of the paddocks we had use of and created hardstanding for their mobile home and vehicle parking .

This leaves us with no option but to look for more grazing, we do not have enough room for our horses to graze, run and enjoy some freedom . Due to having no grazing we have to feed hay all year round which is a huge amount to cover .

BUT we have found local grazing that we have been offered long term use, with a tenancy !

We would have use of around 25 acres of grazing land , 12 acres of woodland and there is a sandschool we could renovate.

WE NEED to fence the field before we can use it , this needs to be done to keep the animals safe and secure .

We had been estimated that fencing will cost around £10,000.

We have been offered £5000 already by someone to who comes to volunteer !

We are waiting for a full written quote .

We have a landlord who can do the work and provide some materials . We need to raise the remaining £5000 worth of funds to cover the remaining materials and machinery needed to install fencing .

We have been working tirelessly with our group of volunteers over the past couple of months to clear brambles and overgrown vegetation ready for fencing .

We just need some help to make this dream a reality for all of our animals and the people that rely on us .
