For Pete's Sake!

Peter and Ginger (Lyman) Thornburgh are likely the most positive people you will ever meet. They have been a pillar of support and strength for their family (sons Jordan and Luke), extended family, church and community for many years. Married 32 years, they have faced more challenges than most of us can imagine. They have been, and still are, key supporters of several close family members through illness. Two years ago Peter began having dermatological, musculoskeletal and other symptoms, including neurological, himself.

All who know Pete know that he has been incapacitated by an illness that as of now still remains a mystery to the foremost experts in their fields - including specialists in the fields of neurology, immunology, infectious disease-  in Southern California and at the National Institutes of Health.  He has spent a lot of time in the hospital (nearly 12 weeks so far in 2019) battling increasing weakness and overall deteriorating health - all of which he has borne graciously and courageously.

At this time, Pete’s sick pay benefits through his employer have been depleted. Ginger, of course, has spent all her available time caring for him, which has affected her ability to work herself. Funds are urgently needed to allow Ginger to devote all her time and energy to Pete and be by his side during this critical time.

So, “For Pete’s Sake”, let’s all rally around this beautiful family, chip in, and let financial matters become the least of their worries.

They also need and appreciate your continued prayers for them, their sons Jordan and Luke, their extended family, and the medical team who is struggling to find answers and treatment options.
