The Thomson Family – Educational Fund
Our dear friend and colleague Andy Thomson lost his battle with cancer in January of this year. Andy was one of the finest Art Directors and was known for his exemplary work throughout the UK Film & TV industry and beyond.
Andy passed away aged 47 and leaves his wonderful wife Clair and their three children Rory, Alistair and Isobel. Rory is 19 and taking first steps within the Film & TV industry. Alistair is 17, about to leave school and has an offer to study Architectural Technology at University. Isobel is 15, working very hard at school, and hoping to go to Art School to follow in her father’s footsteps.
The Film and TV Industry is a precarious profession. Establishing and maintaining a career in this field takes time and dedication. As well as being a great Dad, Andy gave that time and commitment to his craft while Clair devoted her time to their children. Under Andy and Clair's guidance, the children were just starting on their journeys to further education and career goals beyond that, when sadly Andy was taken too soon. It is our sincere wish to help them to realise their potential.
Any donation is truly appreciated.
Please share on Facebook and other social media so that we can reach as far as possible and give everyone that knew Andy the opportunity to help.
Many thanks,
Mags Horspool
