Brothers Larry and Rickie Thomison sold their family business, Quality Body Shop, after 50+ years serving their community. They were excited to spend more time with their family, finally enjoy their love for fishing, and smell the roses. I have never met two more hard working men that were truly the salt of the Earth. On October 8th, only 38 days after their retirement, Larry and Rickie suffered a terrible tragedy while working on their fathers boat. While their father watched, and the two brothers were in the boat, the boat backfired and ignited it in flames and left the brothers severely burned. They had to be life flighted to the San Antonio burn center where they are currently undergoing numerous surgeries and skin grafts. After Larry's first surgery, when he was coming out of anathesia he had a complication. His lungs collapsed and he had to be re-vived. They STILL remain in intensive care until they can become more stable, and begin the healing process. It is not life threatening at this point, but IS life changing. We have had dozens and dozens of phone calle here at the shop from customers and friends showing concern, and the outpouring of support is a testament of their character.

Larry has 3 daughters, Nova, Holly, and Lani. He has been married to Karen for 43 years.
Rickie has 2 sons, Daniel and Chris. He has been married to Susan for 33 years.
