Thom and Aarin's house fire relief

Who could possibly plan for this? We left our home at 6:30PM on February 6th for only three hours. We kissed our kitty, JuJu Bone, goodbye as we left. We promised her that yes, we'll play with her fishing pole toy when we get home. But that was not to be. A fire devistated our lives.

We came back to a duplex that was swarmed with firefighters. By then, they informed us, JuJu was already deceased.  The fire, smoke and water damage has completely ruined not only life as we know it, but the intense smoke also destroyed what belongings we did have throughout the entire unit. We might be able to salvage a few things, but we seriously doubt it. All furniture, dishes (etc.), clothing, computer, all music equipment, our entire life, practically gone.  Thom's band archive also might be in dire jeopardy. We don't know for sure. We're still locked out of the house due to toxicity. It's just that bad. One thing is for sure, things like the bed, furniture, clothing, fixtures, etc. are completely damaged by the intense smoke.

We have to completely start over.

A new place to live (until the duplex is finished being rebuilt, assuming we can still live there, we don't know yet), a new... well everything.  Every little bit will help, its difficult to estimate the cost of new clothing, a Bed, Blankets, a couch, chairs and tables, bookcases, fixtures. kitchen things, food, etc. will amount to. But we think that roughly $15,000 will be a start. Donations of such items are greatly appreciated as well, we just have no where to put anything yet.

We will be laying JuJu to rest during the last week of this month of February (problem is that for very good reasons, her burial must be in Los Angeles.  Many of you know that story but it's too involved to tell here. That figues into this as well. JuJu Bone was our baby, and yours.)

Right now we are homeless, but a few kind friends are helping us couch trip. Thom's health isn't perfect and we will need to find a new place to move into immediately. But without your help, even good fortune will leave the new home completely empty. We just don't have the resources. We left our burned home with JuJu's body and the clothes on our back and little else.
