Just before Christmas Claire and Jerome lost their beautiful son Thomas to cancer. This page has been created to raise money to help with the funeral costs and support Thomas’s family as they cope with their loss.

Thomas was born on 27th April 2020 just when the whole country was in lockdown, he was called "Lockdown Baby". He was growing well and loved spending time with his older brother, Raphael and sister, Sofia who enjoyed playing with their little brother and were helping their mum, Claire and dad, Jerome, to look after him.

Unfortunately, everything changed just after Thomas’s 1st Birthday. His mum noticed that Thomas was behaving differently and trusting her motherly instincts took him to hospital for a check up.

After several tests doctors found a 9cm tumour pressing on Thomas’s spine. It is really hard to accept that your little precious child is very ill but Thomas’s parents hadn’t given up. He had undergone two rounds of chemotherapy but to no avail. The only option at that moment was for Thomas to have surgery which would remove the tumour completely. Claire and Jerome found an amazing doctor in France who undertook the procedure. The operation was performed in two parts, one from the front and another from the back. Thomas recovered very well from both surgeries with only a few infections. Hopes of having a healthy child filled their hearts. However, things took a turn for the worse after the family came back to the UK. Thomas’s tumour had regrown and was again pressing on his spine and also spread to other organs. There wasn’t much chance of beating it with such a fragile little body. Claire and Jerome looked after Thomas with a help of Naomi's House, a hospice in Hampshire and treasured whatever time they have as a family of 5.

Sadly, Thomas didn’t have the chance to spend this Christmas with his family as he passed away on 22nd December at 9.37pm in the loving arms of his mother. He will be deeply missed by his parents, Jerome and Claire and his siblings, Raphael and Sofia.
