Thomas’s long Recovery Journey! #Thomasisstrong❤️

Donation protected
Thomas was picked up from our home by two other boys, I was standing on my porch when they pulled in. Everything went bad from there. Some I’m not ready to discuss, a lot I don’t even know as I’ve not spoken to a single law enforcement official besides being contacted about the accident. He is in Arkansas Children’s he’s got multiple brain bleeds, has had strokes on both sides of the brain and had to be taken into surgery before I even made it to children’s. I was 20mins out when they called for consent. He has more skull fractures than they can count and there’s not a bone in his face that isn’t broken. They had to go in and remove a portion of his skull to allow the brain to swell. He may have been without oxygen to the left side of his brain prior to medics arriving, we aren’t 100%. He is being treated as a patient with possible hypoxia. The operation was scary as they didn’t know if he would make it off the table. He did. His blood pressure tried to bottom out on them, and he required a lot of blood. The ideal pressure in his head should be 20, he’s floating between 37-39. They’re struggling to maintain his blood pressure. He’s at the start of a fever. They’ve packed him with ice. They’ve also brought in a warmer/cooler machine. He gets too cold, they warm him, he gets too warm, they cool him. The coming days are going to be the scariest. We have no idea what what is. It truly doesn’t look good. I am probably also leaving stuff out unintentionally but I’ve been awake since yesterday morning. Just pray for my son. I am not  able to work right now and either is our dad since Bub is in ICU. We need as much help as possible as life and bills do not stop.

Update: Thomas’s injures are to severe, Thomas would not what to continue as he has lived his life to the fullest. Thomas has made the decision to be an organ donor. He will live on through those he is able to help. With that this GoFundMe is now going to help with the days he’s still in the hospital as we wait for the transplant team to be fully ready, and for the funeral. He will forever be know as our hero, and will live on in other people. #Thomasisstrong.
