Reed Family Needs Help with Funeral Costs for Thomas Reed Jr

We mourn the loss of our beloved father, Thomas Reed Jr., who passed away on December 5, 2024, while residing in the Arizona State Veterans Home in Phoenix. He moved there with our angel mother in 2014 when their health declined and he went blind. His health declined rapidly in the last 3 weeks of his life and as a family, we unfortunately were not financially prepared.

All who knew “Tree,” “Big Tom,” or “Big Chief” came to love him quickly because of his compassion and caring for others. We’ve been blessed to hear others speak of his goodness and comment that he was their favorite uncle, cousin, or colleague.

As we prepare to lay his body in its final resting place in Bloomington, Illinois, where he lived for 34 years, we find ourselves with significant financial needs. Due to his generous nature in supporting his family financially, life insurance and VA benefits are insufficient to cover his needs. We are financially stable but unable on our own to take care of his final costs.

With deep appreciation for the love expressed already, we humbly ask that you consider helping our family cover the remaining funeral, burial, and travel expenses.
