To raise money for HYT, members of Thomason House will be completing a charity triathlon. Over the course of three days the pupils will collectively cycle, run and swim the distance of a full triathlon.

Thanks to an anonymous donor, all money raised during this week is being doubled before being sent to the Haileybury Youth Trust, to facilitate the sustainable building of domestic water tanks in Bidi Bidi, Uganda.

Haileybury Youth Trust trains young Ugandans in a sustainable, environmentally-friendly building technology, giving them construction skills and improving their education, health and employment opportunities. It also aims to transform communities, constructing low-cost school buildings, affordable housing, rainwater storage tanks and sanitation facilities. This is done in a way that preserves rather than damages the beautiful Ugandan landscape.
