Medical/Equipment Fund for Thomas

Donation protected
My nephew, Thomas Hammond is a lot of things, but mostly he is a survivor.   In his 20 years, Thomas has achieved the status of Eagle Scout, he was an accomplished trumpet player in high school, and his latest triumph is success with rock climbing while being a full time student and holding a part time job.

Unfortunately, on July 7th, his world was rocked when flood waters in Illionois overtook his campsite and he was suddenly swept three quarters of a mile down river.  After tumbling over the 30 ft. Jackson Falls and a smaller waterfall, he pulled himself onto the bank.  His friends made all the right decisions in rescuing him and after several hours a search and rescue squad delivered him to a hospital.  From there, he was transported by life flight to St. Francis Hospital in Missouri.  Thomas is a healthy, young, and very strong.  He is on his way to a full recovery from a couple of small skull fractures, collapsed lung, broken ribs, burst ear drums, deep bruises, and scratches.

Thomas' camping gear, professional camera, and eye glasses were some of the things lost in the flood.  Life flight and an "out-of-network" hospital stay are the major part of the expenses.  We're hoping to keep his spirits up during this time of healing by being able to donate funds to offset some of these expenses and by writing a few words of encouragement.

By God's grace Thomas survived this traumatic event.  We know most people would not have.  Thank you, more than words can express, for your support!
