Thomas Anthony's Treatment Funds

As you may have heard, our baby Thomas has been diagnosed with Congenital Neuroblastoma. He has several tumors. It starts from the adrenal gland and spread to his liver. Other than the tumors he is a very healthy baby boy. He has already been through one cycle of chemotherapy (three days of treatment) and will have three more cycles. They are performing a biopsy on one of the tumors today which will give us a more accurate prognosis on his specific case. Typically the prognosis for this type of cancer, specifically in a newborn, is very very good (98%). The tumor is usually aggressive and responds very well to low doses of chemo. Many times if the tumor is small enough they won't give any treatment at all and will just monitor to make sure the tumor shrinks on its own but his tumor was large enough to warrant immediate chemotherapy. So we are hoping the biopsy proves the tumor will fit into this prognosis.

We are hoping to be able to take him home this weekend. He has been in the hospital since birth. We'll have him at home until his next cycle which is estimated to be June 9th. They will do another CT scan just before the 3rd cycle to see if the tumors are responding well.

We have very high hopes for him. He's very strong and beautiful!! Please keep him in your thoughts. I will try to keep you updated as we see how his progress is. Many of you have asked how you can help so I have set up this GoFundMe site. We appreciate any help we can get as you can imagine our medical bills will start to stack up soon. Thank you all so much in advance!
