Thomas Family House Fire Fund

On Wednesday April 28, the Thomas family suffered a catastrophic house fire in their Satellite Beach home. I am simply a concerned neighbor helping them the best I can, coordinating this fundraiser for them. All family members are safe and in good health, but the fire destroyed the house. While the fire dept was able to stop the fire before the house became fully engulfed in flames, there is tremendous smoke damage inside, the windows are all broken out and a large hole was cut in the roof during the process. The home is uninhabitable at this time. Without knowing the reasons, and not needing to, the family did not have homeowners insurance. The family owns the home and is devastated. There are 2 adults and 6 children (ranging in age from 2-18) who have had their life upended and it is not yet known if the home is salvageable. The 8 of them are staying in a local family member’s home at this time and the immediate needs are not yet fully understood. 100% of the proceeds from this fundraiser will go to the family and help in their path to recovery, whether it is rebuilding this home or relocating to a new one.
