My name is Thomas and I am a student nurse at University of Wolverhampton studying Adult Nursing. I’m in my third and final year of my studies and hope to become a qualified nurse in January 2020. I am writing to you regarding my upcoming trip to Lusaka, Zambia, where I will be practising nursing in a low-resource hospital for three weeks and offering nursing support in a rural village for one week. I am writing to see if you may be able to provide sponsorship for this very important experience.

My trip to Lusaka will mean I get to experience practising nursing in a developing country and get first-hand experience of a very different clinical setting then the NHS. I will be there for four weeks and keeping a diary of my experiences. The hospital I will be visiting in Lusaka is one of the busiest in the country and provides care to many of Lusaka’s poor. I am taking my trip with Work the World, a reputable company who have been conducting healthcare trips to developing countries for over a decade.

I need to raise £2500 to cover the remainder of my trip. I hoped that you may be able to provide me with a donation towards the final goal of this life-changing trip and would gratefully receive anything you can donate.
