Thomas Trickey funeral & memorial fundraiser

Donation protected
Thomas Trickey unfortunately and suddenly passed peacefully with his family at the age of 30. Thomas was born on 13/01/1993 with a very rare disability in the most severe form known as arthrogryposis multiplex congenita, the doctors strongly believed that Thomas wouldn't make it past the age of 1, but he defied all odds, he had to go through an extensive 18 hour surgery during his childhood to put a rod in his spine to give his back support and my parents were his caregivers for his entire life to fulfil Thomas's needs, fortunately Tom was able to still enjoy hobbies such as going to watch football, cricket and play Fifa on his PlayStation, listen to music and a few other games that didn't require him to touch the backs of the controller as he was unable to do so as he couldn't move his fingers. He was loved by the entire family and he has left behind a mother, a father, a brother, a sister, and so many family and friends.
Tom got rushed into the Heath hospital A&E around 9:30AM, and was very quickly transferred to the ICU when we were told that he would not make it. Myself, my partner, my brother Damien, my mum & dad and cousin were there with him giving him hugs and his final goodbyes before being taken off the ventilator around 40 minutes after being transferred to the ICU and within 3 minutes Tom peacefully passed on Friday 20th October 2023 although he was not fully conscious and in a deep sleep Thomas knew he wasn't alone as he would nod to us in a response to certain things when we were there.
Thomas was a huge Tottenham Hotspur fan, he loved football, cricket, he loved Fifa and animals. He spent a lot of time playing Fifa and watching netflix and YouTube with his uncle Gavin, and even went to Barry island on the occasion. My mum and dad would take him to watch football.
And since the day he's passed this all feels very unreal to all of us its a like an empty hole, because a huge part has been taken out of our lives.
I have made this fundraiser as unfortunately my parents do not have the funds to pay for a funeral, as they weren't able to work due to the extent of Tom's disability and needs. This was extremely sudden and unexpected, he was only 30 years old. Any donation small or large would be heavily appreciated, the total was made based on asking different funeral directors the cheapest route to take this due to shortage of money on all ends of the family, the lowest estimate we had was £3,000 and my mum was told she will be able to have a grant of £1,200, if the goal reaches we would be highly appreciated and a huge weight would be taken of our chests at this time. If the goal goes over then we will be looking at other options to make his final goodbye the best we possibly can. Thank you so much for taking your time to read this, please feel free to share this or invite people. Any help is heavily appreciated.
We are still unsure on a funeral date as this was still very recent and do not have the funds, but we will update when we have a date.
