Thomas Roy's Journey to Recovery
Donation protected
On August 25th my brother Thomas fell over 10 feet from a ladder while siding a house at work and sustained a serious pilon fracture of his left ankle. This specific type of injury affects the weight bearing "roof" of the ankle. The doctors handling his case stated it is the worst ankle trauma they have seen. He is currently under the care of a team of doctors at Mass General Hospital, where they are formulating a plan on how to proceed with this injury, which could include up to three surgeries over the next year. They have told both him and his family that this is a "life changing" injury, and that he will be unable to walk without assistance or work for at least a year. Tom makes a living working as a project manager with his brother in law Sean in their carpentry business. This injury will be both an emotional and financial strain on Tom, Leanne and their three children. Tom faces many uphill battles and he needs our support, prayers, and funds to help his family through the rough days, weeks and months ahead.
