T4T (Treat 4 Thomas)

So as most of you know, I enjoy a running challenge and after a couple of 50 and 100km events over the past few years, this year I'm taking on a 100 miler (103 to be exact or 167km!). The North Downs Way 100 is a 103 mile continuous trail run along the North Downs Way, travelling from Farnham in the Surrey Hills to Ashford in Kent. Total climb of 11,000 feet.

Its a tough event but nothing compared to the challenge our good friends, Matt, Shona and their family have faced this year. Their son Thomas, was diagnosed with leukaemia in March and as you can imagine, for an active 15 year old this has been a big impact on him and the family. Despite this, each week Thomas shows incredible strength and courage to face the treatments needed to help him get better. Lots of amazing people have been raising awareness in support of leukaemia charities and I wanted to do something for Thomas himself that would give him a little boost of positivity.

So on 9th August I'm taking on the North Downs Way 100 Centurion race to raise money we can give as a gift to Thomas to help support his amazing positive mindset during his treatment plan. He's an incredibly brave, strong lad going through his treatments so if you are able to make a donation to support raising a sum of money that we can gift to him to spend on whatever makes him smile during his journey to getting better, that would be amazing.

Thank you
