I’m running the Manchester Marathon on 19th April 2026 in memory of my best mate, Thomas Nolan.
Tom was meant to be running this marathon with us. It was something we were all looking forward to, a challenge we were going to take on together. Tragically, Tom passed away due to mental health struggles, and that’s something we’re all still trying to come to terms with.
He wasn’t just my best mate, he was a huge part of our lives. The kind of person who brought people together, who you could always rely on, and someone who meant so much to so many. Losing him has left a gap that will never be filled.
That’s why Me, Ashley Kirwan, Toby Allen and Ethan Towey will now be running this marathon in his name. Every mile we run is for Tom. For the memories we shared, and for the future he should have had with us.
This is more than just a run. It’s for raising awareness around mental health, and for helping others who might be silently struggling like Tom was. If sharing his story and raising funds can help even one person get the support they need, then it means everything.
All funds raised will go towards mental health support, helping provide vital services, resources, and someone to talk to for those who need it most.
Please support if you can, and if not, just take a moment to check in on the people around you.
We’re doing this for you, Tom
