On November 3, 2018, my husband Tom was seriously injured in a motorcycle wreck when an oncoming car made a left hand turn and collided head on with his Harley. He remains hospitalized after undergoing surgery to repair his broken pelvis and will face 5-6 months of recovery before he is expected to be able to return to his normal activities.  We were married just 2 weeks before his accident, so this certainly is not the vision we had for our new life together.

There is no health insurance to cover the costs of rehab/nursing home, therapy, medications, medical equipment and home health care. Our second floor condo is completely inaccessible to him until we can get a stairlift installed.

The loss of his wages is financially devastating to our household; my income is not enough to support our family of three or cover the cost of Tom’s immediate medical needs.
