Thomas Leroy Roeder cancer fund

Hello. My name is Crystal Beck. I'm trying to raise money for my dad. His name is Leroy Roeder. He is a lifetime resident of Fairfield, IL. He worked for Kincaids in Fairfield for almost 30 years. He is well respected and a familiar face in the community. He doesn't know a stranger. He has multiple myeloma. It is a bone marrow cancer similar to leukemia. I'm trying to raise money to help pay for treatments, medication, and caregiving. He has weekly chemo treatment and radiation treatment. He is also taking a medication, that after Medicaid and AARP, we are left with a cost of $2800 each month.  He takes it every day for 21 days, and then he is off of it for 7 days. Then the cycle starts all over again. So I have to pay the $2800 every month. He will be on this medication for at least 3 years. That doesn't include the other medications and treatments he needs. Right now, he is 20% recovered so far.  However the chemo is weakening him greatly.  I love my dad very much. I want to take care of my dad and wouldn't trade it for anything.  But the additional costs has put a strain on us financially. I even had to take out an emergency loan, so I wouldn't lose my home.
