On October 4, I was the victim of a racially motivated hate attack on a CTA train. On my way to work I was randomly attacked with mace and stabbed repeatedly by someone who was also screaming words of hate about my race. The attack happened out of nowhere and I had no interaction with this person before the attack other than I was sitting by them. My attacker got away, he has not been caught. He stabbed me in the head and kidney, piercing my kidney. My eyes and face were burning so bad from the pepper spray. I wouldn’t wish this pain on anyone. Thankfully the doctors and nurses at Sinai helped stabilize me and kept me for a few days until it was safe for me to go home. My healing journey continues and I’m going to have to go through a lot just to get back to normal.
I’m a single father and I don’t know how I’ll be able to pay the medical bills plus keep a roof over our heads. Please pray for my physical and emotional healing, and if you can donate anything I really hope you do. Me and my family are so grateful for any help you can give. Please share this gofundme, that helps too. Bless you.
