2 Dallas ISD Schools Likely a 'Total Loss' After Sunday Storms, Jefferson HS Done at Least Through End of School Year

*These donations are to support the journalism program at Thomas Jefferson High School in Dallas ISD.*

On Sunday, October 21, a EF-3 tornado ripped through Dallas and destroyed many homes, businesses, and 3 Dallas ISD schools including Thomas Jefferson High School.

Countless organizations and community members have rallied together to provide school supplies for students and staff who have been displaced to a nearby middle school, however the journalism department has been left with almost no resources to complete their 2020 yearbook or newspaper editions.  According to adviser Tyler Smith, the program at Thomas Jefferson "is used to doing a lot with a little," however the class lost three of their six DSLR cameras and a cart of laptops.

These student journalists have a responsibility to tell the stories that have impacted their school year, but they can't without  the technology they need.  By donating, you can support and encourage this journalism program as they navigate their school year after tragedy. If you can offer any assistance, they would deeply appreciate it!
