In the early morning of December 1st, 2019, we experienced a tragic loss to the Forrester family, that will forever change us. Thomas Forrester, a loving husband and father passed away unexpectedly. He was always our ray of hope through everything we shared together in life. As a family man, he made sure we were always safe, protected, well-loved and stable. He never let anyone leave the house without knowing you were fed and properly clothed. Not only was our dad a significant person in our family's lives, he was considered great by many others who had known him. Whether through baseball, college, or his own home town, Tom was well loved by all. Countless stories of his trips to different states and countries while playing AAA for the Chicago White Sox were always a highlight to my family's day. He was a man who could never say no to helping friends, family and strangers.
During this past year, we had struggled on and off with our dad being sick, as well as falling behind on bills due to dad not being able to work. Within these last few months he had significant changes to his health, which ultimately became worse in a short amount of time.
The funeral services for our dad are Saturday, December 7th. Since before his death, my mother has many bills to pay as well as what’s to come. The cost for the funeral is close to $7,500.00. My mother is not a person to ask for help, that is one of the many things her and our dad shared in common.
I am asking in leu of flowers that you can find it in your heart to help via donation to this go fund me. This would help my mother cover some of these unexpected costs.
As I am typing this, I remember him for the amazing father that he was. He was a jokester, a fighter, courageous, caring, loving, kindhearted, and ultimately a true man to his word. As a father and husband, he was always there for me, my brothers and my mother. We loved and will love my Dad forever, no matter what may come our way.
We extend our eternal gratitude for those who have reached out to us with sympathy and love during this difficult time. My family and I are grateful for the amount of love Tom has received throughout everything.
