In 2024, the Friends of Tommy Flanagan founded the Thomas Flanagan Cross Country Scholarship Award in Tommy's memory. The annual award is given to two graduating seniors, one boy and one girl, from the Cranford High School Cross Country Team who have excelled on the course, in the classroom, and who embody Tommy's creative spirit.

Last year, there were three outstanding candidates - Simon Betancur '24, Lilabelle Dicastro '24, and Thomas Curro '24 - and the Fund decided to award $1000 scholarships all of them. This year's award winners will be announced at The CHS Senior Awards Night on May 29th at 7pm.

In order to continue to support the exceptional student athletes on CHS's storied XC Team and further honor Tommy's memory, we are embarking on a fundraising campaign in order to assure that the Fund will be endowed for many years to come. The fundraising campaign will kick off on Wednesday, May 21st in Cranford at Venue 104. Please join us for an evening of food, drink, and reminiscence.

Select paintings from Tommy's extensive body of work will also be on display.
