Help Thomas continue to heal.

On 02/13/2022 Thomas had an accident. He fell in to a pond and drown. We think he was in the water for about 5 minutes before we pulled him out and started CPR. Unfortunately he was without a heartbeat for around 40 minutes. Even with CPR and the extreme hard work of the police, EMTs and ER staff, the lack of oxygen caused Thomas to have a hypoxic brain injury. Due to this he has now been diagnosed with HIE and spastic quadriplegic cerebral palsy, he also has a tracheostomy and a Gtube. All this being said after some vary vary hard days at Loma Linda and some also not so easy times since coming home Thomas is doing amazingly well all things considered. Thomas is working on getting his trach out and he is finally starting to do well with his gtube feeds. Thomas recently received stem cells and is currently doing neuro intensive therapy. Within just a few days of these two treatments we have already started to see more and more improvements. Thomas's head control is already improving and he is starting to follow little command, Dr. Bor will tell him to look and him and he will raise he head and look him in the eyes. This is new and so so amazing to see. We have been holding off on starting a GoFundMe for him but after seeing these treatments work their magic we know we are going to have to come back for more. So there for we have decided to go ahead and make one in hopes that we can continue to give our baby the best chance possible to be able to run and play with his big sister again. Anything and everything helps and we are soo appreciative for all the help we have already received. We are still taking things day by day but the days seem a little bit brighter now and we hope to continue the progress.
