Thomas Cassera while enjoying some time away with his family and celebrate his birthday on a cruise, on September 24th, his trip was cut short, where he suffered a brain bleed that took almost 21 hours to get imaging just to start working on a treatment plan for him. He fortunately has no neuro changes as of October 1st. Now That his treatment plan has almost reached $1 million, the hospital is pressuring him and his family because he has no insurance. He doesn't want to be a financial burden to his family. Updates will be given as surgeries are given. He has spent the last week with a constant pulsating headache but continues to know that God has plans for him and his story.

He is a loving single father. He is active in his soccer community at Gateway Soccer Association and just recently started a children, youth and adult Soccer group at his church in Lehigh Acres, Florida. He is an avid church goer and works with the children on Wednesday nights for the last 2 years to learn about God and how to be good disciples. He worked closely with the children's pastor at New Life Assembly of God and had a wonderful group of coleaders to help in the soccer group.

God Bless.

update 1
2nd Angio done today 10/2/25 after a week since the first to see if they could find the location of the bleed. Nothing was found which is a good thing.

Update 2
He has orders to move to neuro step down 10/6/25, closer to leaving but Dr's say he has a long recovery time before going back to work

Update 3
As of 10/8/25 Thomas got discharged from the hospital. He has applied for health insurance but it wont start until November. They want a follow up with neuro, a ct scan and a check up with his pcp all in 2 weeks.
We appreciate all the loving support he has received and appreciate all that's been done. He is still very weak and can't stand for more than a few minutes, or sit up for more than 30 minutes before getting a headache.

Update 4: 10/24 New Ct was taken, awaiting results, Thomas is around 60% recovered, he is anxious to go back to work but doesn't want to risk any injuries. He is waiting for a PCP to sign off on him going back to work, at least for light duty. Thank you all for the support he has received. May God bless you.
