Hi, my name is Deborah. Thomas was my nephew, my sister‘s oldest child. He was 24, a marine veteran and someone who loved his family. I remember the first time I changed his diaper, he Peed all over me! He loved his family hard, and made a point to reach out on a regular basis. He defended those who could not defend themselves.

I don’t exactly what my sister and her family need, but I wanted a way for those who don’t live close to be able to contribute to whatever needs they have. Whether that’s buying pizza because they don’t have the energy to cook or helping pay the bills when they don’t have the strength to go to work and just need another day to grieve.

Thomas died unexpectedly in a car accident this weekend. We still don’t know the circumstances leading up to the accident. I pray for my sister’s sake that some answers are found. Because he is a veteran, and he was still in the reserves, there are a lot of things related to his death that are already covered. Sometime in the spring, I will be a memorial for him, a celebration of his life.
