Thom Spicer battle this disease I’m up for the fight

- My name is Thom Spicer. In June of 2024, I experienced a breathing problem when I was out of town. I was able to make it home by the grace of God, hoping for the worst respiratory infection. I knew in the back of my mind it was more. The ER doctor took an initial X-ray and recommended seeing a specialist. I went to a specialist and was advised to see an oncologist. You talk about a kick in the stomach! While making plans to start a treatment plan, I developed pneumonia, a big-time setback. I managed to survive, and chemo and radiation started. This was not fun: 54 chemo treatments and 39 radiation treatments. I'm now on immune therapy, 6 months of it. I have now been diagnosed with chronic COPD. I plan on putting up a fight again. These two situations have limited what I can do a lot. I do receive a bit of disability, but why I'm here doing this, I'm not begging, is because between prescriptions and all the equipment that goes with it and my transportation, my vehicles are like me, old and in need of some attention. So, I'm asking for some help from my friends. The cancer is a stage 3 which is not doing bad through treatment. I also had a tumor in my right bronchial tube; last PET scan showed a significant decrease in size.
