Hi, my name is Tod Richards and my best friend just suffered a ruptured brain aneurysm yesterday 12/22/2022. He has undergone one surgery so far and is currently in the ICU for a few days (perhaps weeks). Hopefully, Thom will fully recover from this situation but, according to the experts, it will likely take a very long time. However, time is not on Thom's side right now, and I'll explain; Thom is what I would call a finish carpenter/wood artisan. He independently designs and builds amazing pieces of furniture, wood doors, cabinetry, etc. His website is https://www.thomscottstudio.com if you'd like to see some of his amazing creations. He also makes quality electric guitars in his "spare time." The point of this information is that Thom only earns income if he's actively producing products (which he does in his home-based woodworking shop) and as of today, and likely for months to come, he will not be doing so.

Thom is married to Michelle and he has two adult children. Unfortunately, Michele is suffering from the effects of a brain injury herself, which occurred earlier this year. Since that time Michelle has been unable to return to work as a teacher and is also now income limited.

Thom and Michelle are simply super nice people that have just been dealt a gut punch. This, unfortunately, occurs way too often in our society and when it happens to independent businesspersons the effects can be financially catastrophic. I am putting together this fundraiser so that Thom and Michelle can try to keep their heads above water until hopefully, both can heal well enough to return to their previous hardworking selves.
