In early November, Thom Dierks began experiencing severe headaches that would not go away. When the pain became too much to bear, he visited the emergency room. After a battery of tests, Thom was diagnosed with cancer of both the brain and lung.

Surgeons successfully removed a ping pong ball sized tumor from Thom’s brain, relieving the pressure that was causing so much discomfort. Unfortunately, this operation was only the first step on his road to recovery.

Thom is still carrying six tumors in his brain and one in his lung. Because he handled surgery so well, his doctors have decided to treat the remaining cancerous tumors with a combination of radiation and immunotherapy.

Thom Dierks is a musician, a father, a son, a brother, a skateboarder, a band mate and a great friend to so many. He is a person you can always depend on. He’s the one you call when you need a hand, and his generous spirit never falters. He’s the one who supports your band, finds you a stage and makes sure you get paid. He’s a man you trust and a person who always sees the best in others.

Although Thom is currently out of pain, he faces a challenging recovery. Due to the intensity of his ongoing treatments, his doctors cannot clear him to return to work. With no money coming in, rent, utilities and living expenses have exhausted what money Thom has saved. So, with ongoing medical expenses mounting, we have put together this Go Fund Me campaign to help.
