Help Snoopy Fight For His Life

Donation protected
Hello, for those of who you who don’t know me. I’m Michael Davila and I am Snoopy’s best friend and owner.

About a week ago my family and I started noticing that Snoopy (Our beloved miniature puddle) wasn’t being himself. He seemed down and tired at times but would gain strength throughout the days. However on Thursday July 23,2020 Snoopy’s condition took a turn for the worse.

All of a sudden he showed an excessive urine volume, increased thirst, vomiting and diarrhea. He dropped on the floor and started shivering nonstop.

We immediately called his Vet to take him in ASAP. Unfortunately due to Covid-19 regulations it was packed. As a desperate measure we rushed him into the Toronto Vet Emergency Hospital.

We waited for 3 hours to get the results. The results were devastating, we found out that Snoopy has diabetes type 3 which comes with a lot of complications and daily injections in the future. We are willing to do everything that’s in our hands to help him make it through this.

To put this matter in perspective, Snoopy has pancreas failure. The pancreas has 2 significant types of cells. One is used to produce enzymes for proper digestion and the second is used  to produce the hormone insulin. Which regulates the level of sugar in the body. Without the proper medication and treatment Snoopy’s body won’t be able to use glucose as an energy source to survive.

He’s been placed in intensive care since Thursday July 23, 2020 so far it’s been 4 days today marks his fourth day and his symptoms are still not improving as the doctors would of expected. Which means Snoopy will need to spend more days at the clinic.

My family and I making a huge effort to come up with that amount of money in such a short period of time to help our beloved Snoopy. We have already spent $5 000 on his treatment but it seems like it’s going to cost way more according to the Clinic’s estimate, between $10 000 to $11 000. However in case of any complications there might be an emergency intervention which could significantly increase the estimate.

Once he comes out of the Clinic he would need 2 insulin injections per day plus a strict diabetic diet for the rest of his life.

Snoopy’s improvement is taking longer than other patients with diabetes and he will definitely need more days at the clinic to make it through this.

We would love to have our beloved dog with us again since he’s such a big part of a family. He’s the sweetest and he brings so much happiness to everybody. He’s really our angel on earth.

We are committed to make his lifestyle pleasant and take care of him with the right medication and nutrition. No matter what it takes, we definitely want the best for him always. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Snoopy means the world to my family and I.

Thank you for taking the time to read this. My family and I will be forever grateful to anyone that is able to help or spread the message!
