‘Where little things go a long way’
One horse, human and hound take on the journey from Dover to Lands end.........
Thistle is a charismatic traditional cob in training for a 500 mile carriage drive from Dover to Lands end throughout the minor roads of green and pleasant south England.
The one horsepower journey will start in July and commence throughout summer 2021, meandering through Kent, Sussex, Hampshire, Wiltshire, Dorset, Somerset, Devon and Cornwall………
Thistle and co. are accepting donations for two extremely worthwhile not for profit charities along the way. Both farming charities chosen are within wildlife and conservation friendly farming; producing food in an environmentally sound way. Above and beyond this they are allowing others not so fortunate to have opportunities on farm; working and exploring the outdoors with all the benefits it provides.
The Pearce Coggan foundation
Based in Kent at Green Farm; Pearce Coggan foundation helps people connect with nature by providing a fun and inclusive outdoor environment where young people can be free and experience farm life with a focus on where food comes from
Ambios Farm & United Response
Ambios is based at Lower Sharpham Farm in South Devon and was established in 2001 to provide nature conservation training in UK and EU via traineeships and volunteering. We are rewilding 50 acres on the Sharpham Estate and are proud to work with United Response to provide real work experience for people with learning difficulties.
Please do help in any little way you can and always remember
