This Ukrainian family needs a car in the UK
Donation protected
My name is Caroline Briggs-Harris, and I am sponsoring Ukrainian Refugees Alla and her daughters Alisa (13) and Arina (8) to come to the UK, through the government sponsorship scheme.
They will be staying in a flat in rural Worcestershire, with no public transport. It will be their own space, at last.
I would love to buy them a car and insurance, to give the family some independence. The car would be registered to Alla and belong to her.
Alla is very keen to work and become financially independent, but a car will be essential. Also, she will need to drive to get the children to their new schools.
The family fled their city in Ukraine on the day the war broke out. They waited three days at the border and went to Italy. They have been there since February, in unsuitable accommodation, and are desperate to make a fresh start in England.
I am asking for help at a difficult time for everyone. However, it would be wonderful if you feel able to contribute please. No donation is too small!
The family are due to arrive on 7th October, and I hope to have the car ready and waiting for them.
Any questions, please ask.
Thank you so much.
